Welcome to the beta version of the Face of AIDS Foundation new website - the first phase of making the complete historical film archive of the HIV and AIDS pandemic accessible and searchable online.
Swedish film director Staffan Hildebrand and the Face of AIDS project, has documented HIV/AIDS since 1986, resulting in 900 hours of unedited and edited film material.
By 2011 there will be hundreds of short web films depicting the human story of HIV/AIDS. To the AIDS 2008 conference in Mexico City, we have made 40 web films accessible and searchable, as a starting phase.

Report on boy prostitution 1987 in Rio (Long version)
In this film the sitauation of teenage prostitution in Copacabana is higlighted. Two teenage prostitutes is interviewed of how they protect themselves from HIV. Dr Eleonora Quinhoe,a Rio AIDS doctor, comments on how prostitution among young males and their clients increases the spread of HIV in Brazil. Rio politician Fernando Gabeira, involved in the the AIDS fight in Brazil, is also interviewed.
